It's that time of year when the weather becomes warmer and days are noticeably longer. This day, many places in the northern hemisphere celebrate as May Day. May Day is usually celebrated as a traditional spring holiday in Europe. Some of you may not be aware, but May Day is also a day that workers are recognized as well. This practice began sometime in the 19th century and is more widely recognized in the U.S. Today was the first time that I have ever received a May Day basket and it was more impressive because I received it at work because all staff were recognized for their hard work by our local union. I hope you all enjoy your May Day and may you receive a pleasant surprise.
