Welcome to the new Turtle Monkey Blog!

Updated: Sep 2, 2020

Hi! It's been a while since I was able to talk to you. School just ended and now I'm back and able to tell you stories again. I'm excited for this new way to talk to everyone and so I'm going to start by telling you a story today.

I came directly home on the last day of school. I was bored because Coco Monkey was grounded. I didn’t feel like playing outside by myself or with the boys, so I decided to pester my pets. Fuzztastic and Doodle hid behind furniture so I couldn’t get to them. Miss Spider scurried up the wall. Croaky and Ribbit were just sitting on rocks in their bowl. I couldn’t get them to do much of anything. Even Mama Monkey wasn’t home. I thought of a great idea just when I realized that Mama Monkey was still out helping people. I decided to snoop through her makeup. Mama Monkey never said I couldn’t do that, so I figured that it would be okay. There were a lot of strange things in her makeup box. There was this clamp thingy that looked like it would hurt to use. There was also her nail file and scissors. I rummaged deeper into the box and that’s when I finally found the good stuff. Mama Monkey’s eyelash darkener and lip color. It also looked like she had some sticky stuff to put on extra eyelashes! I didn’t know you could do that! It looks like the eyelashes are the same color as Doodle’s coat. I wonder if she harvests Doodle’s fuzz. I tried to put them on and add the eyelash darkener and lip color. I admit that I didn’t do such a good job and they got stuck all over my face. When Mama Monkey came home, she was really mad. I haven’t seen her so angry in a long time. I thought this would be the end of me, but as Mama was helping me get the makeup off, she started laughing. She told me that I was cute enough without makeup and that when I am older, she would teach me how to put it on. It took hours to get everything off. The extra eyelashes were the worst! I am missing a little bit of fuzz on my face because Mama Monkey had to cut a few of them out. Luckily, I don’t think it’s noticeable. I think I’m done playing with Mama Monkey’s makeup for a while.
